As the company ramps up production activities, top brass announced on January 14 that Devine had joined as evp of production and development, effective immediately.

Devine arrives from Pacific Northwest Pictures, the Canadian distributor she co-founded in 2011 and which will continue to operate as usual. For the last three years she has worked with Miramax as a producer and strategic advisor on production and development opportunities.

She reports to Miramax chairman Thomas J Barrack, Jr and Miramax CEO Steve Schoch.

The new arrival is shepherding a number of film and TV projects on behalf of Miramax, including Martin Scorsese’s Gangs Of New York TV series, Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn TV series and The Ninth Life Of Louis Drax.

Miramax recently signed a multi-year film, TV and live stage co-production and co-distribution agreement with The Weinstein Company.
