UK distributor Metrodome, which earlier this week struck a deal with backer Media Pro, has taken all UK rights to Korean crime thriller The Chaser.

The deal was brokered between Metrodome's general manager - home entertainment Tom Stewart and CEO Peter Urie with and EJ Cho Cho of Fine Cut. Metrodome will release the film later in 2008.

The film has already sold more than 4m tickets in Korea and Warner Bros is planning the English-language remake.

Hong-Jin Na directs the story of a failed detective-turned-pimp who is forced to track down a serial killer targeting his prostitutes.

Peter Urie, CEO of Metrodome, says: 'We're very excited to be releasing The Chaser in the UK, and would like to thank Fine Cut for their work towards this deal.'
