The Tribeca Film Festival in association with Harvard Business professor Clay Christensen and the Disruptor Foundation team will host the Tribeca Distruptive Innovation Awards on Apr 27.

The event will be hosted by the NYU Stern School Of Business.

Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and founder of Room To Read John Wood will both receive the Lifetime Achievement Awards. Other award winners include Justin Bieber and manager Scooter Braun and Def Jam Records founder Rick Rubin.

“Since its inception, Tribeca has been a living laboratory for disruptive innovation, where technology, business, culture and storytelling collide,” TFF co-founder Craig Hatkoff said.

“This event, expanded for 2012, intends to shed light on the chaos of rapidly changing technologies and business models. We are beginning to see how identity-based goods, services and experiences create a powerful, yet predictable, array of resistances that change the dynamics of disruptive innovations.”

A lunch will be held after the awards ceremony with breakout session to follow. For a full list of the honourees click here.
