Digital Vision has unveiled Vintage Cloud, a new semi-automated film digitization workflow.

The Vintage Cloud solution will include film handling and newly developed intelligent scanning, motion compensated image processing and an automated metadata based workflow and cataloguing. It also includes Digital Vision’s own logging and reporting infrastructure, allowing transparency and easy monitoring of the digitization process.

Vintage Cloud is designed to allow film archivists and researchers to explore, catalogue, scan, reconstruct, digitally archive and monetise their libraries with a minimum of technical expertise.

Digital Vision’s managing director, Kelvin Bolah, says, “We are delighted to introduce Vintage Cloud. It’s the only solution that provides a complete integrated workflow to digitise a film library in the fastest time, at the highest quality and at the lowest cost to the archive owner. To the user it couldn’t be any easier to put into action and monitor the progress of the library from film to file.”
