Kate Winslet has dropped out of the new Woody Allen projectwhich is shooting in London, it was confirmed today (June 25).

Winslet, who has had a busy schedule recently, reportedlywanted to spend more time with her family.

A new female lead is expected to be announced on Monday.Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Emily Mortimer remain attached to the film,Allen's 36th as a director, which is being backed by BBC Films and isbeing touted as "an entirely British" production.

Shooting is due to begin at Ealing Studios in a little overa fortnight. Hanway is handling international sales.
