Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal is to star in Lukas Moodysson's Mammoth, the controversial Swedish writer/director's first English language feature.

Mammoth is a drama centering on the domestic dynamics of a couple, their child and Filipino nanny. It is in final casting and pre-production.

Moodysson, whose previous work includes Fucking Amal (Show Me Love), Together, Lilya 4-ever, is to shoot the film in New York, Thailand, The Philippines and Sweden.

His star Bernal rose to fame in the Oscar-nominated Amores Perros, and is currently co-starring with Julianne Moore in Fernando Meirelles' Blindness.

International sales are being handled by Danish sales outfit Trust Film for whom, Rikke Ennis has been appointed the new CEO.

Rikke Ennis has been with Trust Film Sales since 1999 where she started up the TV Distribution Department of Trust Film Sales.
In 2001 she was appointed as Managing Director of the Nordic Television Distribution company OS owned by Zentropa, Nimbus Film, Grasten Film and M&M Productions and in 2005 as Managing Director of the Danish Video on Demand Distribution Company.
Avy Kaufman is handling US casting on Mammoth - a Swedish/German/Danish co-production through Memfis Film, Zentropa Berlin and Zentropa Entertainments.

Film i Väst, SVT, TV2 Denmark, Medienboard Berlin, Swedish Filminstitute, Danish Filminstitute, Filmförderungsanstalt, Nordic Film- & TV Fund and Eurimages are confirmed for finance.
