Production has begun on AllenCoulter's Truth, Justice And The American Way, the real-life Hollywoodmystery starring Adrien Brody, Ben Affleck and Diane Lane.

Focus Features will handlethe North American release and international sales on the picture, which alsostars Bob Hoskins and marks Sopranos director Coulter's feature directorialdebut.

Brody stars as a 1950sprivate eye who investigates the unsolved suicide of 1950s television Supermanstar George Reeves and in the process uncovers a web of intrigue that involvesReeves' wife and a studio chief.

Glenn Williamson is producingthe project through his Back Lot Pictures, with J Miles Dale and Jake Myersserving as executive producers.

Paul Bernbaum and HowardKorder co-wrote the screenplay and Focus' executive vice president ofproduction Joe Pichirallo is supervising the project for the company.

"Allen Coulter hasassembled the perfect cast and crew to tackle one of Hollywood's greatestunsolved mysteries,' Focus co-presidents David Linde and James Schamus said ina joint statement.

Coulter has won four Emmysfor his work on The Sopranos, as well as four DGA Award nominations for hiswork on The Sopranos and Sex And The City.

Williamson is a frequent Focus collaborator and served as executive produceron the company's upcoming crime caper Ice Harvest, as well as executiveproducer on Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
