New French sales house Coach 14 has acquired two films heading into Berlin. The first, Heros, is a $2.6m (Euros 2m) psycho drama in the styleof Fabrice du Welz's Calvairesays Coach 14 co-founder Pape Boye.

Directedby first-timer Bruno Merle, the film stars Michael Youn, Patrick Chesnais andElodie Bouchez. Heros marks adeparture for Youn who is most often associated with comedy.

The film tells thestory of Youn's character who kidnaps a famous singer played by Chesnais.Produced by Les Films du Requin, Heroswill be ready for Cannes and released by RezoFilms in France.

Shotgun Stories has also been picked up byCoach 14. The $2.6 (Euros 2m), English-language film is produced by David GordonGreen, Lisa Muskat and director Jeff Nichols in association with Upload Films.

Nicholsis also a first-time director and here tells the story of a feud between twofamilies who come together via marriage. With four kids from one parent andthree from the other, the film has 'a strong subject but with latentviolence,' according to Boye. Shotgun Stories will run in the BerlinForum section
