Former Lionsgate evp of international sales Anne-Marie Ross has been hired to lead the newly launched Pantelion International.

The company arrives with George Lopez, Marisa Tomei and Jamie Lee Curtis project La Vida Robot.

The project centres on four undocumented Mexican-US high school students who take on an MIT team in a robotics competition.

Ross will work closely with Pantelion’s development and production teams on home-grown titles and will also sell third-party fare.

She reports to Pantelion CEO Paul Presburger.

“Anne-Marie has been a proven star for Lionsgate’s international theatrical sales operations, and her knowledge of the global marketplace and network of relationships around the world make her perfectly suited to help us build Pantelion’s international business,” said Presburger.

“From original films to co-productions, local language remakes and third-party titles, we see opportunities throughout the global marketplace for Pantelion’s diversified slate of mainstream commercial films with cross-cultural appeal and relatable Hispanic characters, themes and settings.”
