EXCLUSIVE: The second film in the deal between Atlas Independent and Relativity International has emerged as Mojave, a crime thriller from William Monahan to star Garrett Hedlund and Oscar Isaac.

Relativity International president Camela Galano will launch sales on the Croisette on the story of an angst-ridden artist who heads into the desert to wrestle with his existential crisis, only to meet a homicidal drifter who happens to be his doppelganger.

Hedlund will play the artist while Isaac, set to walk the red carpet in Cannes for Sunday’s [19] world premiere of the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis, plays his antagonist.

Monahan’s Henceforth Pictures will co-produce the film with Atlas Independent, the affiliate of Charles Roven’s Atlas Entertainment. WME and CAA represent US rights.

ScreenDaily broke the story last week about the first film between the parties, The Man On Carrion Road to star Timothy Olyphant. Under the terms of the deal Relativity International will co-finance and handle sales on both films.
