Los Angeles-based sales company FiGa Films has taken on international sales of two titles that will be showing in Locarno.
The first is Kitao Sakurai’s Aardvark, an Argentine-US production that will have its world premiere on Aug 5 as the opening film of Locarno’s Filmmakers of the Present competition.
Aardvark stars Larry Lewis Jr., in a role based on his own life. Lewis, blind since birth, has a severed relationship with a martial arts instructor and later seeks vengeance. Sakurai makes his feature directorial debut, after serving as cinematographer on You Won’t Miss Me.
