TonyMitchell's disaster film Flood hasstarted shooting, with a cast including Robert Carlyle, JessalynGilsig, Tom Courtenay, Joanne Whalleyand David Suchet.

Power'sJustin Bodle is producing alongside Peter McAleese. The film is production from the UK's Power, known for its TV dramas andminiseries, with South Africa's Moonlighting Films and Canada's Muse Entertainment. Michael Prupas is co-producing for Muse with Philip Key andGenevieve Hofmeyr for Moonlighting.

Theproject will shoot in South African studios for 11 weeks and on location in London for two weeks. The film is about a storm that causes a tidalsurge that threatens the lives of Londoners, when only a handful of people havea few hours to save the city from devastation.

Mitchell,who previously directed docu-dramas including Supervolcano and Bafta-winning AncientEgyptians, is making his feature film directorial debut.

Bodlehas previously produced Henry VIIIfor ITV and Casanova and The Virgin Queen for the BBC.
