IMG Media has struck a deal to acquire London-based production company TigerAspect Group, including its subsidiaries Tigress, US-based TTP and film division TigerAspect Pictures.

Termsof the deal weren't released, but IMG Media will finance theacquisition with capital from its US-based parent company IMG.

Thisdeal follows IMG unit TWI's recent acquisition of UK-basedDarlow Smithson Productions, maker of factual TVprogrammes and the feature film Touching The Void.

TigerAspect produces TV family, comedy, drama and factual shows as well as wildlifeprogrammes through Tigress. Its feature film business has produced films suchas Billy Elliot and Kevin And Perry GoLarge.

TigerAspect has an annual output of more than 200 hours of programming and an annualturnover of more than $93.8m (£50m).
