London-based sales house IN-motion Pictures has boarded horror -meister George A Romero's thriller The ILL.

IN-motion will handle worldwide sales excluding the UK and US on the project, to be directed by Romero and produced by Thierry Cagianut and Matthew Myers of P-Kino Films. Principal photography starts in September on location in the UK, with casting to be announced.

Romero's script tells how an ancient evil force reawakens at a gothic college campus and staff and students fall prey to a mysterious fatal disease one by one. The story follows one girl, who finds a strange indelible mark on her arm, and an investigator from the Department of Health.

Romero, whose credits include such cult classics as Dawn Of The Dead, Night Of The Living Dead and Creepshow, is renowned as a master of the horror genre.
