Matt Dentler is leaving his job as producer of the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) to head the programming and marketing division of Cinetic Rights Management (CRM).

Janet Pierson, a former producers rep who was involved on films like She's Gotta Have It, Clerks and Slacker, will replace Dentler, who held the role of producer since 2003.

Dentler is expected to begin work with CRM on May 1 and caught the eye of Cinetic Media founder John Sloss and CRM partner Robert Nathan with the way he fostered relations with film-makers and digital retailers, two key elements in the CRM game plan.

'Because of his experience and skills, we think Matt is the perfect addition for CRM, which maintains up-to-the-minute relationships with the universe of digital retailers, from the largest portals serving the broadest audience to the smaller sites serving deep niche interests,' Nathan said.

Dentler will work closely with CRM's COO Janet Brown.

CRM was launched in 2007 to offer clients digital rights management and representation. Services range from negotiation and strategy, digital encoding logistics, marketing support and accounting and reporting.
