The BFI last night raised £250,000 for the BFI National Archive at its first ‘Luminous’ fundraising gala in London.

The event featured an auction of film prizes including the F1 replica car from Rush, child and adult walk-on parts in a BFI-backed film and an editing session with Ken Loach.

Guests included Warner Bros CEO Josh Berger and host Jonathan Ross entertained a star-studded room including Jude Law, Helen McCrory, Damian Lewis, Sienna Miller, Romola Garai, Olivia Colman, Richard E. Grant and Julian Fellowes.
