Summit International’s tween dream may have raced to more than $350m but it will face stiff competition this weekend from Puss In Boots and Arthur Christmas.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has grossed more than $43m in the UK, $31m in CIS, $26m in France, $25.4m in Australia and $22.5m in Germany.

DreamWorks Animation’s Puss In Boots will cross $100m this weekend and opens through Paramount Pictures International (PPI) in around 17 territories. These include a quartet of majors – the UK, Germany, Australia and family-friendly Brazil – as well as Argentina and Belgium.

Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI) unleashes Arthur Christmas in 15, among them Russia, Spain, Mexico and South Africa. The animation stands at more than $45.3m after a short time in release.

The Adventures Of Tintin has grossed more than $22.16m through SPRI and PPI.

Moneyball, gathering momentum as an awards season force thanks to a much-fancied lead performance by Brad Pitt, opens in 20 territories mostly in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Universal Pictures International opens Black Gold in Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland and Take Me Home Tonight in France. The Change-Up on $33.8m opens in Italy while Tower Heist has grossed $43.1m and arrives in Mexico

Fox International’s Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes stands at $306.1m and New Regency’s In Time has reached $82.4m. Alien Girl opens in France and Win Win ventures into Italy.

Warner Bros Pictures International’s Happy Feet Two has crossed $35m.
