The on-site deal on the first day of EFM gives Glen Basner’s FilmNation Entertainment a strong start to the market as he fields interest on the caper and introduces buyers to new title Wettest County from John Hillcoat.
Michael Hoffman will direct Gambit from a screenplay by Joel and Ethan Coen about a London art curator who devises a scam to dupe a collector into buying a fake Monet. Shooting is scheduled to begin in May in London.
Mike Lobell is producing alongside Crime Scene Pictures partners Adam Ripp and Rob Paris, who are also financing.
