Ernest Borgnine’s final film is a coming-of-age comedy in the vein of Grumpy Old Men that centres on a has-been actor who dreams of becoming a Western movie cowboy.
Elia Petridis directed and Darren Brandl and Dave O’Brien produced.
“We’re honoured to add The Man Who Shook The Hand Of Vicente Fernandez to our slate and are privileged to be repping Ernest Borgnine’s last film,” Arclight vp of sales and said.
“The film’s commercial viability and heartfelt performances by a stellar cast are a winning combination destined to connect with audiences all over the world.”

They are fervent champions of independent cinema and we look forward to collaborating with their distributors to successfully launch this exceptional project to a worldwide audience.”
Indican Pictures will open the film theatrically in Los Angeles on Dec 7. The film premiered at the 2012 Newport Beach International Film festival earlier this year where Borgnine received the Outstanding Achievement in Acting Award.
