The Cinema Guild has announced its acquisition of all US rights to Stephanie Spray and Pacho Velez’s documentary Manakamana which gets its North American premiere on Friday (6).
The film documents the breathtaking journey undertaken by a group of pilgrims as they travel by cable car to worship at Nepal’s legendary Manakamana temple.
“Manakamana is an extraordinary documentary, quite literally a thrill ride, and unlike anything you have ever seen,” said Cinema Guild’s Ryan Krivoshey.
Total LA-based production shoot days were down 8.7% in Q1.
“Our real value add now is in terms of international sales,” revealed Oli Harbottle of Dogwoof.
