Dusty Bias’ low-budget first feature tells the story of a drifter in NOrth Dakota who plots to steal a man’s penpal girlfriend.

Film Movement plans to release in the first quarter 2012 after president Adley Gartenstein negotiated the deal with Steven Beer of Greenberg Traurig on behalf of the filmmaker.

Prairie Love screened at the start of the year in Sundance’s NEXT programme and has won several awards on the circuit including the Emerging Artist Award at the Santa Cruz Film Festival

“Dusty Bias’ beautifully shot quirky romance is a perceptive exploration of loneliness that had us engrossed from beginning to end,” Gartenstein said.
