Revolver snaps up Pattinson doc Robsessed

UK distributor Revolver has snapped up rights to Robsessed, a feature length documentary about Twilight and New Moon star Robert Pattinson.

Revolver is currently at Mipcom in France selling the film to broadcasters and home entertainment companies. It intends to release the DVD in the US and UK in November to coincide with the release of New Moon, the second film in the Twilight franchise.

The documentary looks at the teenage phenomenon known as being “Rob-sessed” and Pattinson’s rise to one of the most sought-after young actors after winning over fans and critics with his performance in Twilight, based on the Stephanie Meyer novels.

Justin Marciano, chief executive of Revolver, said: “Teenagers just can’t get enough of Robert Pattinson and this broadcast quality biography is guaranteed to deliver whether on TV or home entertainment.”

Revolver is also planning to create a box-set with the documentary accompanying Haunted Airmen, the 2006 drama starring Pattison to which it also holds the rights.
