EXCLUSIVE: Sony Classics takes more major territories on The Invisible Woman from WestEnd.

Sony Pictures Classics has taken a host of remaining territories on Ralph Fiennes’ Charles Dickens drama The Invisible Woman from WestEnd Films.

After securing US, Latin America and South Africa rights at Berlin earlier this year, SPC has now picked up further rights including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and Korea.

Ralph Fiennes stars alongside Felicity Jones and Kristin Scott Thomas in his sophomore directorial outing about the relationship between UK novelist Charles Dickens and the young actress who became his secret lover until his death.

Lionsgate has UK rights, Hopscotch handles Australia, Wild Bunch releases in Benelux, Smile distributes in Scandinavia.

Headline Pictures, Magnolia Mae Films and the BBC produce Abi Morgan’s script. WestEnd co-financed.

SPC is due to release the Telluride and Toronto title in the US in December.
