Deals led by raunchy comedy Johnson acquired from Salt.

German independent Tiberius Film has added another three acquisitions – including Huck Botko’s raunchy indie comedy Johnson - to its previous announced deal at the AFM this week for the scary thriller Under The Bed.

Speaking about the deal for Johnson, Tiberius Film’s managing partner Wolfgang Carl pointed out that this was his company’s first acquisition from the London-based sales company Salt “and their movie Johnson has huge potential, a great cast, and a highly contemporary topic.”

Johnson began shooting in Chicago from mid-October and features Twilight star Cam Gigandet as a charismatic womanizer who receives his comeuppance when his penis mysteriously leaves his body and takes on human form (as played by comedian Nick Thune).

Tiberius has also signed deals with Voltage Pictures for writer-director Chris Roosevelt’s post-apocalyptic zombie thriller The Demented, starring Sarah Butler, Michael Welch, Kayla Ewell and Brittney Alger; and with IM Global for Ron Scalpello’s rites of passage movie Bootnecks set in the toughest infantry training in the world among the Royal Marines, produced by UK distributor Revolver Entertainment’s Gunslinger production arm.
