EXCLUSIVE: Comedian latest addition to anticipated drama as John Goodman signs.

Comedian and actor Louis C.K. has joined the cast of Dalton Trumbo biopic Trumbo.

C.K. will play screenwriter Arlen Hird, who like Trumbo, fell on hard times after being blacklisted, but refused to compromise on his principles.

As previously reported by Screen, Diane Lane and Elle Fanning have signed on to join Bryan Cranston and Helen Mirren in the buzzed-about script being sold by eOne.

John Goodman has also completed his deal to play no-nonsense film producer Frank King in the drama, which shoots later this month.

Breaking Bad star Cranston, director Jay Roach and producers Michael London and Shivani Rawat will be among the entourage wining and dining potential buyers in Toronto tonight.

Recently launched Bleecker Street will distribute in the US.
