UK writer/director Naomi Wright has come up with an innovative way of funding her short film Join My Band, which is due to commence shooting on May 8 in London.

Potential investors can log on to the film’s website and choose between different levels of sponsorship - bronze, silver and gold – in return for perks such as a credit on the film and tickets to the film’s premiere.

Jazz harpist and singer songwriter Lucinda Belle is providing the soundtrack for the project.

Wright, whose credits include a short film for The South Bank Show, said: “There are still opportunities to support the film, by becoming a backer. So if films and music are your thing, then literally ‘join the band’.
