Russian action star Alexander Nevsky is in talks to join Bruce Willis in Aldamisa’s thriller Captive.
Simon Brand directs the film, which will start shooting in March.
Nevsky is a three-time winner of the Mister Universe competition. His film credits include Undisputed, Moscow Heat, Treasure Raiders and Black Rose (he also directed the latter).
Anna Cazenave Cambet’s second feature is adapted from the autofiction novel by Constance Debré
Madrid authorities are backing the film, which has provisional title of WASP 2026.
Filmmakers Tomomi Takashima and Daniel Toivonen highlighted extended script development time and different working hours as the main challenges.
Production is set to commence in Los Angeles in October.
Marshall made a string of hits in the eighties and nineties, including A League Of Their Own.
