It is the director’s second feature following his critcally acclaimed debut Katalin Varga.

Peter Strickland is due to begin principal photography on his second feature, Berberian Sound Studio in London tomorrow (March 24).

Toby Jones is playing the lead in the horror film about a British sound engineer who is hired to work at a cheap, sleazy sound studio in Italy. It is Strickland’s follow up feature to Katalin Varga, which won a Silver Bear in Berlin.

Keith Griffiths is producing for Illuminations Films alongside Mary Burke of Warp X and co-producer Hans Geissendoerfer. The project is backed by UKFC, Film4, Screen Yorkshire and Geissendoerfer Film und Fernsehproduktion KG.
