Teresa Palmer is in negotiations to join Alcon Entertainment’s re-creation of the 1991 action-thriller. Lionsgate International handles international sales. Separately, Emilia Clarke from Game Of Thrones will star in Voice From The Stone.

Palmer will join previously announced Edgar Ramirez who will stars as Bodhi, played by Patrick Swayze in the original, and Luke Bracey who will portray Johnny Utah, played by Keanu Reeves in the original.

Point Break will take place in the world of international heists and extreme sports as a young FBI operative goes undercover.

Production is set to kick off on June 26 and filming will take place across four continents. Ericson Core directs from a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer.

Palmer recently starred in Lionsgate’ zombie comedy Warm Bodies and will next be seen in Terrence Malick’s Knight Of Cups. She is currently filming Triple Nine.

Eric D Howell directs from Andrew Shaw’s adaptation of Silvio Raffo’s Italian novel La Voce Della Pietra. Dean Zanuck and Stefano Gallini-Durante are producing and principal photography is set to commence in November in Italy on the 1950s tale of a nurse who goes to work in a haunted family castle.
