Three-time Golden Globe winner Helen Mirren will receive the Los Angeles-based voting group’s Cecil B. DeMille Award on January 8, 2026.
The British Oscar winner was cited by Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne as “a force of nature” whose “transcendent performances and commitment to her craft continue to inspire generations of artists and audiences alike”.
Mirren won Golden Globes for The Queen, the series Elizabeth I, and Losing Chase, and won the lead actress Oscar for The Queen.
Her credits include Gosford Park, The Madness Of King George, The Last Station, The Thursday Murder Club, and Excalibur.
Since it was established in 1952, the Cecil B. DeMille Award has recognised the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Sidney Poitier, Judy Garland, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, and Barbra Streisand.
The Cecil B. DeMille Award will be presented during a new Golden Eve annual primetime special honouring recipients of the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Carol Burnett Award.
