Hong Kong-based Golden Network Asia has pre-sold Malaysian animation Seefood to a string of territories including Wild Side for France and Splendid for Germany.

The film has also gone to China Lion and Bona Film for China, Luxor for Ex-USSR, California Filmes for Latin America, K&Entertainment for South Korea, Kino Swiat for Poland, Duka Film for Turkey and PT Ciptu Mutu Entertainment for Indonesia.

The Pixar-style CGI animation is a collaboration between Malaysian animation studio Silver Ant and Qatar-based Al Jazeera Children’s Channel.

The story follows the adventures of a bamboo shark pup who ventures onto land into the world of humans when dozens of egg sacks are stolen from his reef.
