The annual event will see up and coming talent in the world of animation and visual effects displaying their work to future employers.

More than 100 students from 10 Creative Skillset Media Academies and ticked courses will be given the opportunity to exhibit their best work to representatives of the UK’s leading animation and visual effects houses at Creative Skillset’s Animation and VFX Showcase which takes place in Soho on July 12.

It is the second year that visual effects students and companies will be involved in the showcase in recognition of the growing importance of VFX, which is the fastest growing segment of the UK’s film industry.

In addition to the showcase, students will have the opportunity to take part in roundtables and speed matching sessions that will allow them to meet with employers and professionals.

Creative Skillset’s chief executive, Dinah Caine, said: “This event is one of the highlights of our calendar as it gives employers in the animation and VFX industries the chance to join up with the best UK education providers under the one roof. In the years we have been holding these events they have always generated results through jobs, bringing students together to explore business opportunities and by allowing education providers and industry to network and share knowledge.”
