ContentFilm digital distribution and television arm Fireworks International has signed an output deal with Michael Eisner’s Vuguru.
Under the terms Vuguru will supply a minimum of ten multi-platform projects over two years and Fireworks International gets a first-look opportunity to acquire international multi-platform distribution rights.
The first project is the young adult drama Pretty Tough based on the novel by Liz Tigelaar.
“Partnering with Vuguru, a company which pioneers the development of content for delivery across global broadcast, internet, mobile and portable device platforms, will give us fantastic access to the latest and most sought after properties in the digital arena,” Fireworks International executive vice-president of digital acquisitions and distribution Jonathan Ford said.
The deal follows Fireworks International and Vuguru’s recent collaboration on international distribution of the multi-platform psychological thriller The Booth At The End.
