The distribution arm of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will release Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story Of Cannon Films theatrically in late 2012.

Production is set to begin imminently in Australia on the story of Israeli-born Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus’ prolific exploitation distribution label. Veronica Fury produced.

There will be a travelling roadshow retrospective of Cannon’s Films to coincide with the release.

Nate Bolotin brokered the deal on behalf of Celluloid Nightmares and executive producers XYZ Films with Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO Tim League, COO James Emanuel Shapiro and director of acquisitions Evan Husney.
