Psychological thriller Choose (handled internationally by Simon Crowe’s SC Films) has been snapped up for the US by IFC Midnight.

A theatrical release is planned for next year.

Directed by Marcus Graves, the film stars Katheryn Winnick and Kevin Pollack. Billed as a genre piece in the spirit of Se7en and The Silence Of The Lambs, it starts with an intruder breaking into a teenager’s home and telling her to choose which of her parents he will kill.

SC Films has already closed a deal with G2 for the UK, Metropolitan for France and with Telepool for Germany.

Here at the AFM, SC Films is launching sales on Outback 3D, a new 3D animated film from the team behind The Reef. The film is a coproduction between Korea and the US. Lotte Entertainment will release the film in Korea.

A comic tale about an albino koala bear, it features voiceover work from Rob Schneider, Tim Curry and Alan Cumming.

Also new on SC Films’ slate is British thriller F, about a bunch of school children who turn on their teachers at night. Recently released in the UK by Optimum, the film is a market premiere in Santa Monica.The writer-director is Johannes Roberts.

The company will also be showing first footage of suspense thriller Retreat, starring Thandie Newton, Cillian Murphy and James Bell.It is handling pre-sales on Paul McGuigan’s time-travel thriller Tomorrow (due to shoot in the summer) and is continuing to sell Galt Niederhoffer’s
The Romantics and Jonathan Newman’s Swinging With The Finkels.
