The company will handle international sales on Rob Heydon’s adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s book.

Intandem Films is handling international sales on Rob Heydon’s feature Ecstasy, which is based on Irvine Welsh’s best selling book (and follow up to his first novel Trainspotting) Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance.

Starring Kristen Kreuk and Billy Boyd, the $5m film starts shooting in Canada on 6th December.

Andrew Brown, director of Intandem, said:  “We are delighted to be working with Rob Heydon and his experienced team on this darkly comic tale.  Irvine Welsh has an amazing pedigree as an author and after the massive global success of the movie of “Trainspotting” we are very excited to be partnering with the team to bring another of Welsh’s globally successful books to the big screen”.

The acquisition brings Intandem’s slate to 31 films.
