Transmission Films has secured all rights in Australia and New Zealand to Lars von Trier’s forthcoming erotic drama Nymphomaniac.

The distributor picked up the rights from sales agent TrustNordisk, which is pre-selling the two-part film at AFM.

Transmission previously released Trier’s Antichrist [pictured] in 2009 and Dogville in 2003.

The film will star Charlotte Gainsbourg as Joe, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac and tells her story from birth to the age of 50. The cast also includes Stellan Skasgard, Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell, Christian Slater, Uma Thurman, Willem Defoe and Stacy Martin.

Previously secured territories include France (Les Films du Losange), UK/Ireland (Artificial Eye), Benelux (Wildbunch), Greece/Cyprus (Seven Films), Germany/Austria (Concorde), CIS (Central Partnership), Czech Republic/Slovakia (AeroFilms), Ex-Yugoslavia (Cinemania Groupicon), Poland (Gutek Film), Estonia (Estin Film), Lithuania/Latvia (Acme Film), Romania (Independenta Films´97), Bulgaria (Art Fest Ltd.) and Brazil (California Films).
