StudioCanal fully financed and Working Title produced the British rom-com from Sasha Baron Cohen collaborator Dan Mazer. Separately, Film Movement has acquired North American rights to the upcoming Tribeca rom-com from Taiwan, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?
Rose Byrne, Anna Farris, Simon Baker, Rafe Spall, Minnie Driver and Stephen Merchant are among the ensemble cast on I Give It A Year,
StudioCanal distributed in the UK and holds distribution rights for France and Germany as well as international sales rights.
Magnolia plans a theatrical and VoD release for I Give It A Year through its Ultra VOD programme later this year.
Director of acquisitions Peter Van Steemburg brokered the deal with StudioCanal’s svp of international sales Vanessa Saal.
- Film Movement will distribute Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? theatrically and on VoD day-and-date in December. President Adley Gartenstein and vp of acquisitions and distribution Rebeca Conget brokered the deal with Media Asia assistant general manager Fred Tsui. The film follows a conflicted husband whose dormant feelings are awakened by a chance encounter with an old gay friend. Arvin Chen directed.
