Mega-Vision’s next is $10m-budgeted period action starring Philip Ng, with acton choreographer Yuen Woo Ping

Hong Kong sales outfit Mega-Vision has closed territories on Marco Mak’s martial-arts action Naked Soldier, currently in post, including to Malaysia (Golden Screen), Middle East (Gulf Film) and Turkey (ANC Film).

As the company seeks out bigger-budget fare, Mega-Vision is also introducing buyers to $10m-budgeted Once Upon A Time in Shanghai from Mega-Vision producer Wong Jing (Naked Soldier), director Wong Ching Po (Revenge: A Love Story) and starring Philip Ng (Naked Soldier). Acclaimed action choreographer Yuen Woo Ping (The Forbidden Kingdom, Kill Bill, The Matrix) is also on board.

The 1900s-set action charts a laborers attempts to rid Shanghai of its evil elements, including a Japanese spy who is intent on killing him.
