Metrodome has taken UK & Irish rights to Agnieszka Holland’s In Darkness from Beta Film.

The story is about a thief (based on the real Leopold Soha) who helped Jewish refugees in Lvov. The deal was negotiated by Head of Acquisitions & Production James Brown and Andreas Rothbauer for Beta Film. Sony Pictures Classics has taken US rights on the film.

The cast features Robert Wieckiewicz, Benno Fürmann and Agnieszka Grochowska.

Head of Distribution for Metrodome Jezz Vernon said: “We’re very pleased to be working with Beta Film again on this extraordinary World War 2 story.”

Metrodome’s Slate also includes Resistance starring Michael Sheen and The Monk starring Vincent Cassel.
