The first film on her slate will be Israeli director Eytan Fox’s Mary Lou.

The first title to come out of Nancy K. Fishman’s newly launched distribution company, Nancy Fishman Film Releasing will be Israeli director Eytan Fox’s musical drama Mary Lou.

Produced by Dana Eden and Shula Spiegel for Dana Productions and Hot, musical film Mary Lou was released in Israel as a four part television series.

The film, about an adoring fan of Israeli pop legend Svika Pick, will be released as a feature internationally.

“I really enjoyed working with Eytan Fox when I released his first film Time Off through Frameline Distribution,” said veteran distributor and publicist Nancy Fishman (pictured), who set up her San Francisco-based distribution outfit this month.

She previously held the role of programme director of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival from 2003 to 2009.
