Thriller Oliver Sherman has been confirmed to screen at several festivals and has distribution in two territories under the new Eye On Films initiative.

Ryan Reynold’s debute feature, Oliver Sherman, which premiered in Toronto, will be screening at the forthcoming Titanic Film Festival in Budapest and released by Hungarian distribution outfit Anjou-Lafayette (represented in Eye on Film by Endre Venczel) in the first deal signed under the new Eye On Films (EoF) label, which supports first time directors.

Partners receive financial support from Eye on Films for festival costs and P&A expenses associated to the theatrical release.

The same film will also participate in the Seattle International Film Festival (May 19-June 12) and will be released in France by Kanibal Films (represented in EoF by Arnaud Kerneguez) after an avant-premiere at the Festival Paris Cinema (July 2-13).

Despite the recent film funding cuts in Hungary, the two local EoF partners – György Horvath (Budapest Film Festival) and Endre Venczel (of Anjou Lafayette) have remained in the indie distribution scheme recently launched by French sales outfit Wide Management.

EoF currently has 30 partners in 15 countries. A call for films was officially launched in March, and new titles within the label are expected to be announced soon.
