The Toronto-based sales company has picked up world rights to The Whisperer In Darkness from Montreal’s Fantasia Film Festival.

Reportedly filmed in the style of the 1930s horror classics like Dracula and King Kong, the film centres on a folklore professor who invites trouble when he investigates legends of strange creatures in the Vermont hills.

Raven Banner managing partner Michael Paszt negotiated the deal with producers Andrew Leman and Sean Branney of the H P Lovecraft Historical Society.

“We were delighted to find a company that truly understands Lovecraft and his works”, Branney said. “We’re happy to work with them in getting our film in front of Lovecraft’s worldwide fan base,” added Leman.
