Roadside Attractions has acquired all US rights to the crime thriller Ca$h starring Sean Bean and newcomer Chris Hemsworth.

Roadside will release the film theatrically on March 26 and Lionsgate will handle DVD and other US ancillary markets through the partners’ output deal.

Stephen Milburn Anderson directed the tale of a couple whoget drawn into a game of cat-and-mouse across Chicago with a mysterious stranger after they discover a case full of cash. Victoria Profeta also stars.

Naveen Chathappuram of Immortal Thoughts financed and produced and Prema Thekkek served as executive producer. Media 8 Entertainment is handling international sales.

Ca$h is a great ride, and is timely as well,” Roadside Attractions co-president Howard Cohen said. “It’s about an ordinary couple, faced with foreclosure on their house, who kind of go crazy trying to keep a bunch of money that could change their lives.”

Cohen brokered the deal with David Krintzman of Morris, Yorn, Barnes and Levine and Media 8’s Lawrence Meyers on behalf of the film-makers.
