Thandie Newton stars opposite Cillian Murphy as a frail married couple in an isolated island cottage who encounter a wounded, armed stranger bearing news of an airborne pandemic. Jamie Bell rounds out the key cast.

Carl Tibbetts makes his feature directorial debut and Retreat is being produced by Gary Sinyor of Magnet Films. 

Magnet’s Sir David Frost and Michael Rosenberg, Ripple World Pictures’ Dominic Wright and Jacqueline Kerrin serve as executive producers and Simon Crowe’s SC Films is handling worldwide sales on behalf of Quickfire Films.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions said Sony Pictures Home Entertainment acquired the film for the UK and Germany in 2010.
