Tribeca Film has acquired North American rights to Uberto Pasolini’s drama from Beta Cinema.
The distributor has set a theatrical and digital release for January.
Pasolini wrote and directed the film starring Eddie Marsan and Joanne Froggatt about a lonely and dedicated council worker who meets the estranged daughter of a recently deceased alcoholic.
Still Life premiered in Venice and is produced by Felix Vossen, Christopher Simon and Pasolini.
The film is based on the life of a British Tourette’s Syndrome campaigner John Davidson.
He predicts films including ‘Hamnet’, ‘Pillion’ and ‘Young Mothers’ will do well with this demographic at the Spanish box office.
The event, also known as Seminici, offers a €70,000 prize to the Spanish distributor of the winning film.
