Vertical Entertainment has picked up US home entertainment rights to horror-thriller The Secret Village ahead of the limited October 18 theatrical release through SD Digital Creations. ITN Distribution has acquired UK DVD rights and will release on October 14.

The film will open on 15 screens in: Sunrise and Tampa, Florida; Lansdale and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Princeton, Jersey City and Metuchen, New Jersey; Queens, New York; San Jose, California; Seattle, Washington; Newark, Delaware; and Herndon and Manassas, Virginia.

The nationwide DVD release is set for December 17. ITN Distribution handles international sales.

Swamy M Kandan directed Jonathan Bennett, Ali Faulkner, Stelio Savante and Richard Riehle in the tale of a journalist who investigates a mysterious outbreak of mass hysteria in a small settlement.
