Third edition of the Wroclow, Poland-based festival to take place Nov 13-18.

American filmmakers Jerry Schatzberg [pictured] and Wes Anderson are to receive tributes at the upcoming American Film Festival, which runs Nov 13-18 in Wroclaw, Poland.

Schatzberg will receive the annual Indie Star award, given to directors of independent American cinema with 2011’s going to Todd Solondz, and will be a special festival guest at the third edition, where a retrospective of his films will be shown including screenings of Puzzle of a Downfall Child, The Panic in Needle Park and Scarecrow.

Anderson will be the subject of the festival’s other focus with screenings of The Royal Tenenbaums and Fantastic Mr. Fox, as well as the Polish premiere of his Cannes opener Moonrise Kingdom.

Other films screening at this year’s festival include Abel Ferrara’s 4:44 Last Day on Earth, Jason Cortlund & Julia Harpelin’s Now, Forager: A Film About Love and Fungi, Charles Matthau’s Freaky Deaky and Bradley Rust Gray’s Jack and Diane.
