As the EFM opens, Gaumont has confirmed a host of deals on Marseilles-set
thriller MR73 directed by Olivier Marchal and starring Daniel Auteil.

The film, being shown privately to buyers in Berlin, has gone to Italy (Medusa), Eastern Europe (Monolith/Best Hollywood), Central Partmnership (CIS), Brazil (California Filmes), South Korea (Sponge) Canada (Chrystal) Hong Kong (Golden Scene) Taiwan (Flash Forward Ent) Portugal (Lusomundo), Greece (Odeon), Benelux (Films De L'Elysee), Switzerland (Monopole Pathe), Indonesia (PT Amero), Middle East (Four Star) and Thailand (JBics.) A 500 print French release has been set for March 12.

Here in Berlin, Gaumont is screening a five minute promo reel of Daddy Cool, starring Daniel Auteil as a father coming back from the US to look after his teenage daughter.

Gaumont will also be screening footage of Jean Claude Van Damme Untitled, a thriller that sees the action star back ion home turf in Brussels.

Also on its EFM slate is Josiane Balasko's A French Gigolo, starring Nathalie Baye as a woman who picks up young men on the internet and pays them for sex.
