Universal Pictures has acquired an untitled comedy pitch fromChuck Martin that his Arrested Development collaborator Brian Grazer will producethrough Imagine Entertainment.

The picture will star Will Arnett, who will be seen in New Line'supcoming comedy Monster-In-Law and appears in Arrested Development. Imagine is one of the producers on theFox Network show and Martin has written numerous episodes.

Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed the Arrested Development pilot, will direct and co-produce thestory about a man who lies about his wealth to a former high school sweetheartand asks his friends to maintain the falsehood when the woman tracks him downin New York.

Danny Halsted, Peter Principato and Paul Young will serve asexecutive producers, while Universal's president of production Donna Langleywill oversee the project for the studio and Imagine vice president ofproduction Kim Roth will supervise for Imagine.

Arnett is represented by UTA, Principato/Young management, andattorney Neil Meyer.

The RussoBrothers are represented by UTA and attorney Karl Austen. Martin is handled byUTA, manager Danny Halsted and attorney Matt Johnson.
